Mike is a Physiotherapist, Strength and Conditioning Specialist and Personal Trainer. He has an extensive 16 year background in physiotherapy, personal training, exercise based rehabilitation and group training. Mike’s background as a fitness professional and physiotherapist has helped him build a wide knowledge base and experience working with a broad range of patients and clients. From elite level English soccer players to high dependency critical care patients, Mike has had the opportunity to work with these clients/patients to further develop his method’s and techniques.
Mike has a genuine love of health and fitness and his unbound energy paired with his knowledge and background ensures an effective, efficient and experience for his patients and clients.
Pelvic Health has been Andrea’s primary area of interest and expertise since 2010, when she became aware that several of her friends were struggling with pelvic pain and incontinence. She holds degrees in both Physical Therapy and in Kinesiology, and holds a Certificate of Achievement in Pelvic Health Physical Therapy from the American Physical Therapy Association. Andrea is authorized to provide Pelvic Health services by the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
Andrea is a skilled, compassionate physiotherapist. She provides care for men and women looking to gain an understanding of how their pelvic health concerns can be managed through a rehabilitation approach. She is experienced in treating common issues including stress incontinence, pelvic pain, men’s health issues, and prenatal/postpartum rehabilitation. Many find these personal issues difficult to talk about and greatly appreciate Andrea’s warm, supportive and non-judgmental approach.
Having evolved her practice as new science emerges, Andrea is thrilled to be a part of the integrated team at PHYSELITE. She sees the team of performance coaches, trainers and clinicians as essential to the holistic development of athletes of all levels. Andrea understands the critical role of Pelvic Health in helping athletes to feel confident in their core function while remaining active. She enjoys designing customized rehab programs that empower clients to make positive changes - and fully engage in life.
Julian is a Registered Physiotherapist with 17 years post-graduate experience in the U.K., Finland and Canada having graduated from Laurea University of Applied Sciences, Helsinki, Finland in 2003. He is currently an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Toronto, working with the Ontario Bridging Program for Internationally Trained Physiotherapists. In addition, he mentors University of Toronto, physiotherapy students. In a varied career, he has worked as the Head Coach and Physiotherapist of Finland’s, Men’s National Cricket Team, specialized as a Musculoskeletal physiotherapist at a London teaching hospital and provided pitch-side physiotherapy cover for the Crystal Palace Football Club’s 11-15 age groups. More recently he assisted as a coach with the Canadian Men''s and Women''s cricket teams in 2013 and greatly enjoyed his stint as a Lead Therapist at Toronto’s 2015 Pan Am games.
Now as clinic director of PHYSELITE, he will draw on his extensive experience to make PHYSELITE the clinic known for its quality care.
Dr. Benjamin Wong is a Chiropractor and a Registered Massage Therapist. He obtained his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and previously graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Science at the University of Toronto. With clinical expertise in movement mechanics and tissue loading, Dr. Benjamin Wong assists clients through acute/chronic pain, as well as, working together with elite athletes to achieve greater performance levels. His specific field of interest is young athlete development, sports rehabilitation, and injury mitigation.
He is a Functional Range Conditioning Mobility Specialist and has additional training in Functional Range Release, Active Release Technique, Athletic Movement Assessment, Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization, and Acupuncture.
Dr. Benjamin Wong’s passion is to educate and train individuals to have the confidence and capacity to move freely without pain, as they meet the demands of their sport or lifestyle.
Dante is a current student at York University in the Honours Kinesiology and Health Science Program. His life has revolved around sport and recovery, where his personal experiences of injury and rehab and professional experience of coaching sport have given him insight to better help anyone find their way back to health. He has over 10 years’ experience in martial arts, basketball, and track and field where he is able to draw from and apply to clinical scenarios to better aid in the recovery and progression of anyone who he can help. He understands the rehab process is sometimes daunting, but will make the utmost effort to make reaching your goals attainable. Dante’s goal is to use his past struggles and experiences in sport and health to make the rehabilitation journey a personal and enjoyable one!
Coach Asa is an intuitive and knowledgeable professional with more than a decade of coaching experience under his belt. Asa began his coaching career at Brigham Young University - Hawaii; training and developing athletes across 11 different sports, while navigating the NCAA landscape and earning his bachelor''s degree in Exercise and Sport Science. He returned to Canada in 2013 and soon established himself as one of the premier performance coaches in the GTA. Over the years, Asa has developed and prepared dozens of athletes towards a career in both collegiate and professional athletics. As the Director of Performance at PHYSELITE, Asa has assembled a talented team of coaches that shares his passion and value for developing athletes and helping them achieve their goals.
Geoffrey is a graduate of Humber College''s Occupational Therapist/Physiotherapist Assistant program. He has been an advocate of strength training and proper rehabilitation since experiencing his own sport related injury at age 18. Geoffrey was an amateur boxer for five years and has also completed his level 1 amateur coaching licence with Ontario Boxing. He is currently pursuing an Athletic Therapist degree at Sheridan College and hopes to one day pursue something greater, such as physiotherapy in future studies. He has a passion for music as both a musician and a student of the craft and is determined to help you achieve your sport, fitness and overall health goals.
Étienne is one of the performance coaches at PHYSELITE. He has been coaching since 2017, predominantly with swimmers. In 2017 He graduated from Durham College with a Fitness and Health Diploma, and as of 2020 he completed his undergrad studies at Ontario Tech with a Degree of Health Sciences in Kinesiology.
